The City Wives' Confederacy
9 December 2008 - 18 January 2009, Greenwich Playhouse
At the end of last year, the Lions part mounted their first full-scale London theatre production since the highly acclaimed Lilies On The Land in 2005.
Mixing an elegant comedy of manners with a feisty touch of farce, The City Wives' Confederacy portrayed a world of want and desire where the men are all rogues annd the women are no better than they ought to be.
Confederacy was a biting critique of marriage, money, make-up and missing diamonds in the outrageous soap-opera world of restoration London.

Twelfth Night
This year's Twelfth Night celebration was held on Sunday 4 January 2008, starting at 2pm.
Twelfth Night is an annual seasonal celebration held in the Bankside area of London. It is a celebration of the New Year, mixing ancient seasonal customs with contemporary festivity. It is free, accessible to all and happens whatever the weather.
About us
The Lions part was first formed by a group of professional actors who met doing First Folio work with the Original Shakespeare Company. The core members now include a musician and an academic, and several of the group produce and direct as well as perform. Our experience as individual actors spans every kind of theatre, including the major stages and companies. We love verse and music old and new, celebration, costume, the seasons - above all, theatre.
