Kali trained at Drama Studio London and with the National Youth Theatre. (Pleasance, Edinburgh), Slave of the Ring in Aladdin (Oxford Playhouse), Snout the Tinker in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Original Shakespeare Company) Rachel in The Sea (Chichester Festival Theatre), Dunyasha in The Cherry Orchard (York Theatre Royal), Ilse in Spring Awakening (Jermyn Street Theatre) and Mrs Layden in They Shoot Horses Don't They? (Bloomsbury Theatre).

For the Lions part, Kali was part of the cast who devised the hit sell-out show, Lilies on the Land. She has also appeared in The Gunpowder Plot, as Wife in The Calf Hatching, Ceres in Springs Glorie, Gyll in The Second Shepherds Pageant, Mercury in The Arraignment of Paris, Doll in The Marriage of Wit & Wisdom and Wiggen in The Old Wives Tale.<
